A New Beginning

I got on the treadmill for the first time since I started this new journey and nothing tells you that you're in the worst shape of your life like a 22:00 mile.  Needless to say I now have 2 goals.  1 is to get off so dang many medicines and 2 is to get a reasonable mile time.  22 minutes is far from reasonable but I guess I had to start somewhere.  Hey, at least I have a lot of room for improvement!

Last time I told you I had my Dr.'s appointment.  I like this new Dr. so far and I have high hopes for him helping with this.  He was as unhappy with my current physical state as I was.  Especially when he learned how it had begun to effect my health.

While I tried to watch what I ate and the amount I ate a little more carefully beginning the day of my Dr.'s appointment I couldn't start my new eating habits until I was able to make a trip to the grocery store.  So I started my new eating habits today.  The good news was I wasn't hungry at all and didn't even eat all of my allotted food.  I was pleasantly surprised because I was expecting to be hungry all day long on a 1200 calorie diet. Isn't that how many calroies anorexics eat in a day?! 

Now comes the hard part of sticking with everything I started today!

I'd like to end on a happy note. I've already lost a couple of pounds and it hasn't even been a week yet! And that was without the new eating habits and exercise habits! Woo Hoo!
